Two years ago, our ambitious friend and founder, Meghan, started this wonderful mom's group because she would "see other moms in Brookfield and the surrounding areas and want to stop and meet them all." Today, we are over 100 members strong and still growing! Our calendar is packed with fun events almost daily (weekends & evenings, too). Whether you are looking for park play dates, trips to the zoo, holiday themed parties, backyard play groups, a book club, exercise buddies, or mom and/or dad' …

This group was created by a mom who left city life behind to tackle new adventures in suburbia. And what a blessing! HAMs has been a great resource for our beautiful children, and for ourselves as young mothers, connecting with ladies in similar life settings. We love venturing out to parks, pools, splash pads, the zoo, children's museum, rec centers, etc. as well as gathering for mom time to socialize without distraction. If you are looking for fun ways to entertain your little one and share …

I'm a new mom in Edgewater who would like to meet other first-time moms and dads in the area. I'd like to get together, not only to share our experiences with parenting, but also to simply enjoy time with others. I know that life can be crazy right now, but I think a group like this has the potential to help all of us maintain just a little bit of sanity.

Everyone is welcome to join; moms, dads, single parents, working parents, or SAHM's. We'll plan meet-up's during the day, evening and weekends so that there are opportunities f …

Remember those college and post-college days when you always seemed to be surrounded by friends? What happened to that? Friends with Kids is a group for adults who are looking for friends ... and we all happen to be parents (including parents-to-be, adoptive parents, and foster parents). This group is for dads and their kids in the Wheaton area to get together for play time, walks, museum visits, to commiserate, you get the gist. I've started it on behalf of my brother, who is a full-time stay at home dad with a 2 and a half year old little girl, since there didn't seem to be any local dad groups, but tons of mom groups. That said, moms are welcome, too! Members are more than welcome to suggest new activities, so let's get this group rolling!
Family Connect focuses on connecting families with each other and with other families. We do this through providing fun activities for families, informal social gatherings, and events to help equip your family for success. This group is sponsored by Great Commission Baptist Church (www.gcbc.info) and is open to any families wishing to participate. We will always let you know which events are are just for fun and connecting and which will have some Bible instruction as part of the agenda.
