OK Gang,
Here is an opportunity to piggyback on an event planned by the Seattle Urban Adventures Playgroup.
They are having a picnic playdate at Madison Park (see below) which is a very cool park and sounds like fun. So, let's join in!!
Following are the details from their meetup:
------------------------------------------------------
OK People - let's try this one again and hopefully the weather will cooperate!
Join us for some end-of-summer fun in the sun at one of my favorite parks. Madison Park is a grassy park on the shores of Lake Washington, south of the Evergreen Point Bridge.
The playground is great for all ages and features a play structure, swings, and immense amounts of sand for digging. If the weather is nice, we can pack up our picnic and head for the beach across the street.
Since this is a very popular park, I will have a balloon tied to our stroller to differentiate us from the rest of the crowd. Parking can be difficult during the summer, so be patient. I've never had to wait more than five minutes for a spot.
Things to bring: big blanket to sit on, sand toys, bubbles, swimsuit and towel, sunscreen, and of course: a lunch and snacks. There are a number of food opportunities across the street from the park, but they tend to be a bit trendy(pricey).
Since there aren't really any rainy day options for this one, check back for an update on the morning of the meetup.

Hope to see you there!
